at slumbertrek®, we believe in making a positive impact on our communities. through our partnerships with various organisations, we strive to contribute to causes that matter.
Wildlife Victoria
Wildlife Victoria has provided a Wildlife Emergency Response service to our community for 35 years.
Every year, thousands of native animals in Victoria become sick, injured, or orphaned, often as a direct result of human activity. Wildlife Victoria receive over 100,000 requests for help a year and help over 80,000 animals. We are proud to be a part of this noble cause.
In collaboration with our partner factory, SlumberTrek® manufactures and distributes joey pouches for Wildlife Victoria. These pouches provide comfort and warmth to orphaned joeys, allowing them to thrive. This partnership helps ease the workload of dedicated Wildlife Victoria volunteer carers who provide love and care to these precious creatures.
Wayside Chapel
Wayside Chapel is dedicated to breaking down barriers of judgment and offering a safe haven where people from all walks of life are welcome.
In an average week, Wayside provides:
- 269 Showers and toiletries
- 1,046 Low-cost meals
- 322 Changes of clothes and underwear
- 47 Instances of care coordination
SlumberTrek® proudly supports Wayside by donating tents and sleeping bags to those experiencing homelessness. We’re also collaborating on a project to develop backpack sleepout care kits, providing essential items for those in need.
The Mustard Tree
The Mustard Tree op shop is a social enterprise that offers comfort, care, and community to all. It’s an expression of love through dedicated individuals who provide for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those they encounter.
All Mustard Tree programs are supported by the income generated from the Community Shop & Cafe. SlumberTrek® contributes by donating goods and materials that are repurposed, repaired, and sold, helping to fund important initiatives.
